How to share your Faithful Friend story this North Texas Giving Day

North Texas Giving Day is a great online giving event designed to benefit North Texas non-profits. NTGD culminates on September 19th, and Faithful Friend has been recognized to participate!

Generous foundations and corporate sponsors will be matching donations to organizations they choose during North Texas Giving Day. We hope you’ll share your personal story to help us stand out in the crowd, and below we’ll show you just how easy it is to share your story!

After you share your story, be sure to watch our great new testimonial videos!

STEP 1

How to find us on the North Texas Giving Day website

First, go to the Faithful Friend page on the NorthTexasGivingDay.org website using the button below (see, we told you this was going to be easy!):

STEP 2

Click the “FUNdraise” Button

Don’t worry, even though they use the word “Fundraise”, sharing your story doesn’t cost a thing and you don’t have to donate anything in order to share your story!

If you’re on a desktop or laptop computer, click on the big, white, rectangular “FUNDRAISE” button at the top-right of the screen, or click on the big, round, blue button with the white plus symbol about halfway down the page:

If you’re on a mobile phone, click on the big round, blue button with the white plus symbol about halfway down the page:

STEP 3

Create A Profile or Log In

After you click on one of the “Fundraise” buttons, you’ll land on a screen where you can either “Create A Profile” or “Log In”.

Most likely, you’re new to NorthTexasGivingDay.org, and so you’ll need to click the green “CREATE PROFILE” button at the top left of the screen:

STEP 4

Share Your Story

You’re almost there! After you’ve created your profile, you’ll land on the “My FUNdraising Pages” tab, where you can share your story!

Here are a few tips to help you share your story:

  • Your story should go in the field labeled “Summary/Personal Appeal”
  • The field labeled “URL Link” is where you’ll type a page address you can share. For example, typing “my-faithful-friend-story” within this field will mean that the web address where your story will be found will be “https://www.NorthTexasGivingDay.org/my-faithful-friend-story”.

Think of the URL Link as the street address where your story will live. When someone wants to read your story, they’ll go to this address to find it!

STEP 5

Spread the Word

Thank you so much for your time and support. Your story will make a BIG difference, and we’re so grateful!

If we can ask just one more thing, would you please consider sharing your story with your family, friends and the world on Facebook or Twitter?

Download this image as a head-start to creating your Facebook or Twitter post!

In case you don’t already have an image in mind, here is a pre-made image you can include in your Facebook post when you share your story!

Be sure to include the hashtags #WhyIGive and #NTxGivingDay
