“Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”
Learning to value, hear, speak and live by the truth – no matter how difficult – requires courage, guidance and prayer. Many youth incarcerated in juvenile detention view truth has something to hide, or deny or escape or avoid.
Coming to terms with the truth and learning to face and speak the truth and live with integrity and honor can be an enormous challenge; but having this as a goal is critical to a young person’s success in moving out of their past behavior and towards a real and productive life as members of our North Texas communities.
Our Faithful Friend volunteers work with and help guide incarcerated youth to face the sometimes harsh realities and consequences of their choices. We help them develop the courage, skills and experience in becoming truthful people of stronger, reliable character.
